Thanks! I generally start running about 8 or 8:30 in the evening. It's still hot, but the sun is going down. That or I go to TCU and run on their indoor track, but it's 1/8 mile, and usually more crowded.

How do you like the running indoors on the track thing? I did 2 x indoor marathons in two days on an indoor track that was 7.5 loops to the mile in February. It was mind numbing but I loved it!

I like running on the indoor track, it's a lot better than the treadmill which is where I started when it was too hot to run outside. When I run outside on a 1/4 mile track, I change lanes every lap to keep track. It's much harder to do that inside, because there are more people. I try to run oustide when I can.

Ran 4 miles at my normal pace, then the last one I sprinted all straightaways and walked the curves.  I do most of my running on a 1/4 mile track.  It makes it easier for me to keep track of distance.  I change lanes each lap to keep track.

Started a little earlier in the evening, and I could feel it.  My lungs were burning after 3 miles from the TX heat.  Then the sun went down and it was better.  First 2 miles were 10 minutes each, the rest were 11-12.  Having trouble staying at 10 consistently.

I went to the gym and ran on the treadmill, to have a consistent pace.  I ran all 4 miles at a 9:31 pace.  In between each mile, I slowed down to walking pace for .10mile.  Next time, I will try to make it 1.5 miles at that pace before recovering.  I find this is the only way I can build up to longer distances without a break.  Any suggestions?

Ran 3 2.7 mile loops, not stopping during, slowing down to a walk at the start each time for about 100 feet.  I haven't mastered drinking and running without choking yet.
